Hi, welcome to my humble (online) abode. I'm Ben, as you can see and I am a freelance graphic designer from Manchester, UK. The sole purpose of this website is to show you my work and ultimately (if you think I'm good enough that is) take on a few side projects in my spare time, on top of any work I may be doing. My key competencies lie within branding and web development however I am a keen typographer and editorial designer and keen to take more of this work on.
I have been designing for what seems to be forever, which, on reflection has been all my life. I am a born creative and I spend my time either doodling, staring into space thinking about my next big idea, or hard at work (which, is most of the time might I add). I work on a top of the range Windows Vista computer, which was built by myself. I use a 2 x 22" Monitor split-screen to increase work-flow as I normally have a number of programs (I only work on adobe programs, they are the benchmark everyone tries to beat - why go for the underdog?) open at a time.
Well, that was the boring bit, what can I say about myself?...
I'm 21 and from Manchester. I spent most of my childhood drawing in textbooks and on the back of class handouts (seemed fun at
the time). I am an odd character, but its a fun one, I can assure you that much! I say what I feel and its always the truth.
I'm in a committed relationship with the girl of my dreams, Carmen, and I draw my inspiration for my work and life for that
matter, from her.
I enjoy watching films (a little too much) which ultimately means I do not sleep and therefore drink FAR too much caffiene, but dispite my love of movies, I couldn't live without music. I have a broad taste, stretching from Jamie Cullum-to-Faithless and from Mumford&Sons-to-Deadmau5, music changes my mood and can sway my work in one direction depending on what I'm listening to at any given time.
Thanks for reading, statistics have proven you will forget the entirity of this page in roughly 8 minutes time.
Take a look at some of my work and enjoy your stay.
